I have a 99 Nissan Altima, I had a CA-545 installed at Circuit City a few year back. I can't take it back because the store no longer exists The remote start no longer works. The remote plays the correct tone but the car won't start.
Not sure if this helps but the blue indicator light flash 3 times every 3 seconds. Even if I use the remote to disarm the system. It's distracting when I drive at night.
I took a look at the Code Alarm 425 install manual on this site but couldn't find anything useful. Any advice on what to do?
I'm thinking of trying to reboot the system by disconnecting the battery. Any idea if that will work? If that does reboot the system will I have to reprogram it?
Any help will be appreciated, and I apologize if I violated any of the rules of the form. I did search for CA 545 but didn't see any threads that address my problem

Thanks I took a look at the manual, but have no idea what to do. Looking at the testing the system page in the manual I realize in addition to the remote start not working, the doors no longer auto(un)lock when I turn on/off the engine.
Any idea what do do? The manual doesn't seem to have a page on diagnostic beeps/flashes

I've installed a handful of those units but not many.
If you disconnect and reconnect the battery, the alarm will trigger, so be prepared for the noise and have your remote ready to disarm....but you won't lose any programming, no.
The idea of the ignition controlled doorlocks not working, as well as the unit flashing the lights while driving, would make me think the ignition wire isn't getting switched power with the key.
Do you have tools to test wires, the knowledge of how to use them, the ability to take the car's underdash apart, and do you know where the 425 brain is?
If so, look back at that install guide, and you'll see a thick pink wire, Ignition 1. Probe the connector at the brain, and see if it's getting no power with the key off, but that it does get power with the car's key in the Run and Start positions.
