Hey guys,
I am trying to install the PKALL into a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. I am having troubles finding the 7-pin connector that has the RX and TX data wires. Can anyone assist me? Thanks in advance.

the 7pin connector is attached right at the key cylinder. you should see it right away.

Pin 4 - RX

Pin 5 - TX

It a black connector with 7 pins in a row.  Pin 3 is empty and Pin4 (RX) is Pink/Green and Pin5 (TX) is Light GREEN/ Red.  Should be on the ignition switch itself.  Sorry, I don't have a picture and couldn't make it out on yours.
Soldering is fun!

looks like a prostart unit?

anyways route the antenna wire and place the antenna on your windshield.

I havnt seen the connector as black, but i have seen it as white on the canadian models.

I looked all around the ignition switch and I did not see any 7-pin connectors. I've performed about 10 RS installs so this isn't my first rodeo. I will snap some more detailed photos of the ignition switch. Is it possible that this 2005 Tacoma Access cab doesn't have an immobilizer?

It's actually a Viper 5701. I am not done with the install yet but I plan on mounting the antenna on the windshield like you suggested.

2005 was the first year that the Tacoma got an immobilizer but it is possible that yours does not have one.  What do the keys look like?  Have you tried a remote start without the PKALL?
