I downloaded a vehicle specific guide on this site, as well as some diode and relay info.. Thanks a lot, this is a great site!!    I installed everything, including all 6 relays for; vats (also proper resister), clutch bypass, two for door locks reverse polarity, trunk release, starter kill. And I installed 6, 1 amp diodes for; parking lamps, two to split ground when running, two to isolate door and trunk inputs, one installed at trunk switch to isolate from the factory wiring. I also installed a 1 amp quenching diode across terminal 85, and 86 of my relays, as well as a 3 amp diode across 86 and 85 of my starter kill relay.    I tested everything, and it all works fine; trunk pops, doors unlock, alarm sounds when either door or truck are opened, starter anti-grind works. I can set the vehicle to "ready" mode remove the key and the engine will stay running, then I exit and lock the doors using the remote the car shuts off. If I use the remote start right away then the car starts up fine, if I wait a minute then it won't start just the dash lights some on and the parking lamps flash twice indicating a failed remote start. What is wrong? My gut feeling is that it as something to to with RAP (retained accessory power) Thanks -JamieAmateur alarm installer

Also can I install a resister inline with the positive feed to the siren to make it quite, it is so loud!! What size resister would you suggest?Amateur alarm installer

The manual says two parking lamp flashes indicate failed remote start, that's all is says.. really helpful eh?? Here is a diagram of what I have done, were do I add the rearm wire exactly? Thanks for all you help! -JamieAmateur alarm installer

I fixed it! The problem was that I pulled power from a wire that red 12 volts hot only for a minute after a door was opened, must have been a wire to for retained accessory power, and I used it to power my clutch bypass relay. All I did was hook that to a constant 12 volt feed and now it works great! I guess thats what I get reusing a relay that was there from the old alarm system! Oh wellAmateur alarm installer
