avital 5303 , 689m issues

putting a 5303 and 589m into a 95 eagle talon manual transmission. everything about the alarm is ok. for the setup procedure on the 689m everything works as it should until i go to remote start it. it doesnt turn after about 2 secs it goes into shutdown and diagnostics tells me it is a neutral safety issue.

after talking with DEI for over an hour they said the 689 is bad. they had me create my own door trigger to make sure a domelight delay isnt causing an issue. the also had me take the parking brake input straight to ground.still no luck. anyone have any ideas?
