Hi Guys,

I have searched and searched on the topics for my car but i haven't found one unique to my situation.  I have a 2002 Honda Accord SE Sedan and i purchased a Valiant \ IC Dynamics Remote Start with Keyless Entry.  Model RS 150.  I lost my transmitter for my car so i am desperate to get this one to work.  I have installed the system and the remote start even works but i can't get the lock and unlock to work.  I found the wiring and have it hooked up perfectly but the lock and unlock won't work.  When i press the button the lights flash for lock and for unlock but nothing happens.  Can you guys please help?

Thanks

What wire of the car did you use for lock?  What wire of the car did you use for unlock?  Did you use any relays?  If your alarm has the relays built in, did you supply the common wire with positive voltage or ground?

I used the (car) black\blue for lock and the orange for unlock.   From the system violet for lock and green or unlock.   I didn't use any relays.  They said to just splice the wires and to tie it in, in the instructions.  How do i supply the common wire with positive voltage or ground??  Sorry im new to this.

I can't help but get a laugh out of that. If they were hooked up perfect then they would work.
Have you tested the functionality of the wires you tapped for lock/unlock?

yes one shows a ground when door is open and the other shows 12v with door open.

(by hooked up perfectly, i mean no flaws in the connections...thanks)

Briefly ground the lock wire you tagged, does it lock the doors?  Then briefly ground the unlock wire you tagged, does that unlock the doors?

When door is open? That would be the check for door trigger. You want the wires that show ground when the lock or unlock button is pressed and stop showing ground when the button is released.

Are you sure you are using the correct wires on the system for lock and unlock?
Can you scan and post the wiring diagram from the install manual?

All circuits should be verified with a digital multi-meter prior to making any connections.
