I own a 2003 Ford E-350 van. An Audiovox Pursuit Pro 9232s alarm was installed by the dealer. 3 days ago I left an interior light on and completely discharged the battery. Since then the alarm went from behaving like an active system, to now functioning like a passive alarm. I've never had that and it's driving me insane. I realize the power loss caused this situation. I have done some research on resetting it and tried some basic stuff with no luck. Any help would be incredible, I really don't want to go to Ford.
Just one other question. In looking into this I found out that this alarm should provide the auto lock/unlock feature for the doors. Is that just a case of activating it, or is it more a matter of whether or not the installer wired the system for that feature to be available. Thanks in advance

I'll answer the easy question first... if they wired the doors to lock/unlock..then you should just have to program it. If not, it may be a simple wiring project that can be down. On the other hand, I searched google as well and several different key words and couldn't find the programming options. If your vehicle is under warranty perhaps the dealer could help you or at least give you the manual for the programming options. Something they should have down in the first place since they probably charged you several hundred dollars for the system. If they want to charge you, tell them forget it.

alarm needs to be reset -- posted image. Hopefully this posts.. it is a diagram of the alarm schematics. Top center is the wiring for lock/unlock connections. You'll just have to find these wires and check what kind of door circuits you have..whether negative or positive pulses. A relay may be needed and maybe not.

http://www.pdf-zoo.com/companies.pl?company=37    Copy and paste that link. It takes you to Audiovox Pursuit manuals and installation/programming. You will need to set up and account with an access rate if you want to pay. Hope this helps

Thanks so much for your replies. I have already downloaded the owners manual and the wiring diagram off of Audiovox's site. As you say, pretty useless regarding resetting the alarm. The installers manual or some specific paperwork provided to me by Ford would probably do it. In fairness to Ford it's been 7 years and I may have misplaced it. Gotta look today.
I did e-mail Audiovox and they responded yesterday telling me it would be best to call their Tech dept. today. I was impressed with that response. Maybe they'll solve this whole thing. I just don't know if they're willing to give out specific info due to security issues. This issue is fairly generic so I wouldn't think so. Thanks again and I will check back after dealing with this.

I spoke with Audiovox's Tech dept. today. The issue would have been resolved in 15 minutes except it turns out my valet switch is bad. It wasn't the cause, but we needed it to be working properly for resetting the alarm. I replaced it and they walked me through the steps. All is well, and again I must say Audiovox was great. None of this when did you have it installed stuff I was waiting for. Thanks and take care.

That is just what I was looking for from day 1. No-one is exactly giving them away so I'll be printing that. This is my first thread here and I'm impressed with the help I've gotten. Thanks.
