Hi,

I've replaced my Viper 5900 with 5902 so I can have SmartStart.  Found a few new features of 5902 but the installer is not sure some features.

Can I customize icons on the colour remote so it reflects windows up/down, field sensor, etc.?

I have a Nissan Altima 2005 with automatic climate control, is it possible to control the defroster with Viper?

Is the temperature sensor built into the headunit?  It seems about 15 degrees higher than what the actual cabin temperature is, so I don't know if it's possible to re-locate the sensor?

Much appreciate your help.

No you cant move the termistor (sensor) for the temperature.  That temp difference is a small bug-a-boo in that system.

Control the defroster?  You mean rear defroster?  Yes, there us a programmable (latched/pulsed) output for the rear def.

Perimitter sensor, glass break, tilit/motion sensors.. yes.  I dont think theres any "windows" display.

Yes you can relocate the viper 5902 sensor out of the brain. I did mine and it is reading perfect temperature. I will void the viper warranty tho and again it self install the alarm on my own so it is void already.

Look at this link it has detail instruction on how to do it. I did itand it work like a charm.
