Hello,
I am installing a Viper 5902 remote start in my 2005 Prius using an ADS-TBSL KO bypass from iDatalink. I am using wire-to-wire instead of the D2D. I have nearly all the connections successfully mapped out.
I've got two wires from the bypass that I can't figure out from the diagrams. The directions show a 12V line and a ground line running directly from the bypass to the remote start. Are these supposed to be the feed lines that the remote start uses, or are they supposed to connect to a specific input/output on the viper?
The install guide is here, third one up from the bottom. The diagram for the Prius is on page 38. The wires in question are the red and black on the 4-pin connector to the bypass.
Thanks!
Jenny

My pardon. It is a 2005 Toyota Prius, to be fully specific.

The Red, Black and Blue on the black connector on the interface?    They are Constant Power, Ground and GWR (ground while running).  Connect them to the power, ground and Status wires on the Viper unit.  Use the Blue/White status wire on the Viper for the GWR.

Isnt there a Pink ignition input for the module also?  Connect that to the Pink wire on the Viper unit.

Just the red and the black. I've got the blue one taken care of, connected to the Ground-when-Running. I just wasn't sure if the +12V and the ground were supposed to be inputs/outputs for the Viper, or just using the same feeds as the Viper.

Yes, I've got that one connected to several places via a resistor and some diodes as per the install guide. I also have the orange tach wire in place It was just those two that gave me pause.

Second question with these: Is it possible to have the Viper arm and disarm when the doors are locked and unlocked with the factory remote? The main idea is to retain the smartkey function without having to also use the Viper fob when not actively using the remote start.
