so my sister has the vehicle mentioned above, she lost the factory keyless entry remote (the only one she had). She she asked me, if I would install the Valet remote starter with keyless entry on her car instead of spending the money for a new remote and getting it programmed.

I have been reading that it is pretty straight forward on this car, the only question I have is, is it only the candian models that require the key transponder. If that is the case her car was build in Korea so she shouldn't have to have one installed, and I can install this RS on sunday. If its not true, then I have to order her a bypass and have her get a transponder key made. She lives 60 miles away so I don't have the key to tell.

Her Vin # if anyone needs that to tell

just so I can clear up your response.

"yes just that car and only  Canadian ones"

Do you mean Yes just the Hyundai Santa Fe (out of all Hyundai's) and those made in Canda.

I called her and she says that she doesn't remember seeing a Security light...... so I'll go with a no untill I see it. What bypass do you guys recommend. I'm not a auto installer by trade, but a good one. This will be my 5th one, as far as RS goes.

Need a little more help here...... I was able to get my sisters car, I opened up everything. Started tracing the wires before I pulled the power to the battery to solder my wires. However, I ran into 2 problems.

1st---The first one is that I could not find the hood pin wire in the car I unbolted the fuse box and checked pink and even green wires, could not find it. I know that it goes from pink to green, but the hood pin wire in the engine bay was green. Where does the hood pin go at the fuse box.

2nd---The other problem was that the wiring sheets call out Tach wires for 2.4 or 2.7L engines. Well my sisters car is a 3.5L. and I couldn't really see a WHITE/ black or blue wire. Anyone know a pin. Anyone know where or what color it would be at the tach.

All of these things are really a big problem, I could just go out the firewall. but I don't want to drill holes if I can get to everything inside. Not to mention that when I went to look at the Fuel injector wires. There was not one common color for either injector, every injector had a different color. Different gauge, but not color.

Everything else is cut and try, in fact, this will be the easiest car I have seen alot of room under the dash. Just hate how short the ignition wires are.

Any help would be great, I called  a local place near her  to see how much they would charge her for the labor if she supplied the RS and micro relay for DL. The guy said 200...... the special on his website for a RS was 229 installed. Didn't seem right. I can do it but I don't want to drill a hole that isn't needed. Please help,

Yeah, it actually does have a hood pin, I know where the ECM is the problem is that the wire codes say for the 2.4L or 2.7L, my sisters car is the 3.5L so I want to make the wire is not different.
