Anybody has ever installed scytek alarm for remote start ? I just installed scytek 5100RS-2w alarm into my honda civic 1998 (manual transmission). Everything is perfect - lock/unlock, hood/trunk/door triggers, parking light flash and started kill are fine, except for remote start that does not work.

When I tried to RS , the parking light flash 6 times - from the installation manual, it indicates that I have my parking brake disengaged. I also called scytek asking about my problem and they said I had connected to a wrong wire. I have tried 2 diff wires, at the parking brake switch (RED / green) and also at the fuse box under dash (smaller GREEN/ red wire). When I connect either one of these wires to the alarm brain (-ve parking brake input for manual tranny), the alarm blue LED permanently ON, either when the parking brake engaged or disengaged. According to scytek, the LED should be OFF when the parking brake is disengaged, then I would be able to remote start. Other wires (starter, ign1, ign2, Acc, Tach wire) are pretty straigth forward.

Any helps are appreciated.

I'm not too familiar with Scytek. I've only done a few.
Here is a few things i would look for:
1. Make sure the alarm is getting a (-) from the parking brake. Test this wire to make sure its (-) and not (+).
2. Test the hood pin switch. Make sure that it does not GND (-). It will not remote start if this wire is grounding.
3. Make sure the alarm has not been accidentally put in VALET mode.

Looks like the wire always -ve. I tested wire continuity using multimeter, both wires are grounded when either my parking brake engaged or disengaged.

And the parking brake light in the meter cluster is working when I pull parking brake during the ignition/engine running.
