I have a 2006 highlander v6, sport, without immobilizer system (no security system as i checked), no transponder chip in the keys either.

I am trying to hookup the Avital 4113 to this vehicle and have a few questions.

4-pin sattelite harness: do I need to use any of this pin?

Primary harness: Do i need to use all the wires except H1/6 (I don't need the horn), H1/7)

Heavy gauge: do i need the relay for the second starter to connect to the black wire on the vehicle?

Door lock harness: i know I need to use diodes and relay according to document 1070.

Thanks for your input in helping this remote start working.

Hello

I got the remote start working now on the HighLander but the door lock still is not working following the diagram from DirectFax 1070.  I don't know what is missing or what wire on the remote start I need to use to make this work beside the green and blue from the lock and unlock Pin on the remote start.  Can anyone help? Thanks

All i can tell you is that 1070 works fine. Either you have not wired it correctly or there are no lock outputs on the 4113. Where did you install the relay/1070? Did you go into the drivers door or passenger kickpanel? Try tapping the lock/unlock wires to ground and see if they work. This will at least let you know if your 1070 wiring is correct...

Hello Mike M2

I follow exactly the diagram on the 1070 and I wen to remove the Driver's door panel to do that.  I even used the test light to ground the lock and unlock wires to test and they do response.   Wiring is correct but then I wonder if I have to go into the program to program?

there are lock outputs on the avital unit. That document works perfectly fine. just did it a few days ago on a tundra. pretty simple stuff in all honesty.

are you talking about PURPLE (-) 200mA second starter turn ON??  Other than that, I don't see the thin purple wire from the brain...

I connect that wire to the relay and wire up to the second starter for the HighLander at the ignition switch.  High Lander has two starter wires while RS heavy gauge has only one.  That's why I use that wire to wire up to relay and to the car's second starter wire.
