Installing a bulldog keyless entry basic system (starter cutoff, lock/unlock, nothing extra/special)
Got all the wiring diagrams and such, says the wires are in the drivers kick panel, lock is BLACK / YELLOW, unlock is BLACK/ red. I tapped into each, hooked up to my multimeter. Both register 12v standing, lock wire goes to 0 when holding down the lock button, but the unlock doesn't respond when I hit unlock, but goes to 0v when I hit lock. I hooked it up like the kit said, and sure enough, both buttons on the remote lock the car, neither unlocks (confirmed manually by grounding the tap wires individually, both lock)
After some time, I decided I'd just run a wire from the door to the body, because the BLACK/ red wire at the switch DOES unlock when grounded. Got it all hooked up, and although it unlocks fine, when I lock it, the lock goes crazy locking/unlocking rapidly until I hit unlock on the remote, as well as the door button for locking/unlocking has quit working when I have it plugged into the new wiring. I'm sure its not the unit, as with both wires disconnected relays click, and the lock/unlock relationship to the starter immobilizer works just fine (locked=can't start, unlock so you can)
Every site I've gone to says its the B/Y and B/R wires, but I don't see what's going wrong here..
These are "type B" locks if that makes a difference.

Test with all other doors bar driver's door shut, key removed from ignition, locking catch on driver's door thrown over (as if locked) and dome light switch pushed in. Your colours are correct, directly ground (for a second) each wire.
What immobiliser? On a 91? Some chance.

All that type "B" means is that the lock and unlock trigger wires are low current negative (if type "A" they would be positive).

I'll go try that right now...The starter immobilizer is a part of the new keyless kit, when the module locks, it cuts off the path for the starter, when it is unlocked, it allows the starter to crank...
I tested the wires by grounding them as well. Both the B/Y as well as the B/R wires lock the doors when grounded momentarily.

The keyless entry shouldn't cut the starter unless there's an attempt to hot wire the car with the keyless engaged. No way for the unlock not to work, check your wiring and the unlock pulse from the k/e unit.

No such luck, did all those things, and both buttons still locked it.

The wiring is fairly simple, connect C wire to D wire...connect E wire to F wire... and I can hear it tripping the relays and such, and it is actually locking it...
The keyless entry kit had me specifically cut the starter wire from the ignition, install a relay that it puts a gap in when I lock it with the remote, and allows power through when I unlock it...its a security feature so when I lock it with the remote, if someone breaks in with another key, they cannot start the car.

Which is all pretty standard, cut starter wire, ignition to 86, GWA wire from unit to 85, diode across these and key side to 87a, starter side to 30, absolutely nothing to do with locks. In fact that relay should only click if you power the ignition with the car locked via the remote.
Agsain check that the unit isn't faulty if youy think you'r wiring is OK, i.e. properly soldered joints with a good connection, make sure with your DMM set to 20VDC and your red probe on a constant 12V+, that your lock and unlock both read 12Volts when you apply the black probe to each.

My point with the starter relay is that the unlock/lock functions of the module box are functioning properly. If they were mixed up somehow, it would never allow me to start the truck.
I really don't see how my wiring would be an issue, they are connecting fine, but functioning wrong....
