2006 silverado, crmstpr rs1304dp, idata

Hello to everyone, I hope someone can help me. I installed a remote starter in a 2006 Chevy Silverado, RS is a Cool Start RS-1304DP (Crimestopper) and bypass is a idatalink ADS-AL-CA. I flashed the module to ADS-AL(DL)-GM1 (per website recomendation). I have everything hooked up per type 3, as directed in the manual. I am using standard wiring, not the idatalink. I have the blue/white hooked up to the yellow/black from the RS. That wire is listed as (-) ignition output that "turns on when the remote start button is pressed and stays on through the duration of the remote start."

When I hooked everything up, the LED on the ADS module flashes green, indicating "false ground when running status from r.s."The truck will try to start, but immediatly die. When the door lock/unlock buttons are pressed on the RS remote, the parking lights flash like they should, but the door locks don't do anything.I have re-flashed the module and done the factory reset on the module. The module will not respond to the "installation mode selection" or the module programming procedure" in the installation guide (both on page 8 of 9).

I have also grounded the blue/white wire on the ADS module- same result- tries to start and dies.

It's been suggested that the yellow/black wire from the RS is not a "ground while running" signal.  Any ideas on which wire would be on that model, or how to make one if the RS doesn't have one?

Any ideas how to get this to work?

the blue/white wire of the idatalink. should be hooked to the Ground when running of the remote starter (sometimes called a Status wire)

The Yellow/Black wire from the Remote start brain is the correct wire to use as the iDatalinks'

Blue/White Ground When Running wire.  Verify that the ADS AL CA black ground wire is securely connectedto the remote starts' Black ground wire and that it is well connected to the cars chassis ground.

You must get the Installation Mode setting to Standard Mode for W2W operation.  ( I have a spare cable

for that 4 pin connector that I use to program the module on the bench by connecting +12v on Red and ground on Black.)  1. Disconnect all the ADS AL CA harnesses except the 4 pin power harness.  2. Then disconnect the 4 pin power harness.  3. Press and hold the button and plug in the 4 pin power harness.  Continue holding the button until the     LED starts blinking red, then release the button.  4. The LED should go solid Red for 2 seconds then go out.  ( This is the Factory Reset procedure to Step 5.)    After another few seconds the LED should start to blink one flash green.  5. Press the button once. The LED should start doing a double green flash.  6. Press and hold the button, the LED should go solid green.  Continue holding the button until the LED    goes out, then release button.   ( This is the Mode selection process - Standard Mode.)7. Reconnect all the harnesses and continue with the programming to car process at the bottom of page 8     using the ignition key.
