Hello guys. I need some help. Ill try to explain as well as I can. 2006 ford ranger plain truck. No locks no nothing. I installed. A excalibur omega. Rs-7 on it that I've had new laying around for yrs. I used a wiring diagram. From this site. Helped a lot!!!! The starter will start the truck then runner for a few seconds then shut off. Seems like it runs till the high idle settles. Down then shuts off. I used a basic set up power, ground, starter, hood pin , ignition, accessory. ,brake pedal, engine detect smart start. Have not hooked up parking lights yet.that is all I know please help. Thanks Robb

It definitely sounds like the RS doesn't know the vehicle is still running.
Although I am not familiar with that piece, you mention "engine detect smart start". I assume this is their version of virtual tach or similar. Hook up the tach wire, reprogram and report back. Tach connections are the most reliable way.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
