Installing 5704 Viper in my 2004 F150.  Unable to get an installation manual from DEI as I am not a dealer.

I did not want anybody hacking into my wiring so i want to do it myself.  I have referenced the
5901 and the 5701 manuals to identify as much wiring as possible.  I have attached a chart of each
connection that i have made on the vehicle, and i am still having trouble with some of the 24 pin connecter wires. Does anybody have any knowledge of this installation and could advise me on the connections i have
chosen for each tie in point.

A couple of notes:

What are you using as a bypass module?  Your truck should have the Ford PATS3 immobilizer system.

Additionally you will need two working, non-clone, ignition keys to program the bypass module.

Domelight Supervision may not be necessary if the interior lights come on with an unlock.

For best results and reliable remote starts, run in Tach Mode and connect to a F.I.   Virtual

Tach doesn't work that well in cold climates.

Soldering is fun!

There are several good "Data type" bypass options for your truck.

DEI makes the PKALL

Fortin makes the Key-Override-All

iDatalink makes the ADS TBSL KO

All are very good modules and cost starts at $30 or so.

My favorite is the DEI 1100F.  It has been discontinued but remains available at various

"online" sellers for about $15.  It is actually made by iDatalink and similar to the
ADS TBSL KO ( but only capable of doing Fords ).  Very reliable and easy to program but
must be connected in the W2W mode ( only 3 wires to R/S ).

Soldering is fun!

I have used the Fortin and the DEI 1100f on Ford vehicles. Never had an issue with either of them. Simple to use and connect.

Is the wiring the same for a 2007 supercrew? I was hoping to do a diy but this seems outta my league. And I cant find any installer close enough that doesnt charge an arm and a leg or that has a reputable image either. I have been told not to go to best buy and some other places as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have the viper 5901 that was purchased online for christmas. I would like to add the 530t module for my front and rear windows and I need a bypass as well I think. I have both original keys from the dealership. Thanks again!

If you aren't comfortable doing it, then do yourself a favor and don't. It may seem like an arm and a leg for installation, but it will be both arms and both legs if you damage your ECU or something else. There is a reason good installers charge a premium... you get what you pay for. if you decide to continue anyways, make your own thread. Hijacking another thread can get you banned from the site.
