Hi Folks,
I am installing an aftermarket alarm (Compustar 6000AS)to my car..i have the relays for my power lock and unlock but i dont know what fuse do i need to connect it to my 12VDC..also whats the easiest way to have a driver priority unlock based on a single wire lock and unlock system?
The brain of my alarm has a driver priority unlock output but where do i connect this? do i need a relay for this??..
If anyone of you can explain me in detail how this will be done i would gladly appreciate it...thanks

Assuming this is a BMW M3, you will need 3 relays and 3 1N4004 diodes.
Go to the JBE (Junction Box Electronics), behind glove box, 47 pin plug marked X14270.
Your 12V+ source will be a thick RED at the adjacent fusebox. You
MUST TEST FIRST
Now follow the diagram:- bmw_3_series_05_on_priority_unlock.bmp

so yeah...my car is a mazda3 2007 auto trans..id like to install the alarm and remote start module (Compustar 6000AS)..the module has a driver priority unlock output and i would like to make use of it without disconnecting the factory keyless entry so that in case the aftermarket module breaks down, i can still use my factory keyless entry..
My car has a one wire system to lock and unlock
Power Lock = negative trigger thru 1Kohm resistor
Power Unlock = straight negative trigger
Must Use Relays!!
also, if you could show me the diagram on how i will connect the wires from the aftermarket module to the car with or without the driver priority unlock (i mean i wanna know both) and what fuse do i need...thanks

So now you see why the rules state "specify make, model and year".
Over here I've probably done more BMWs than any other make.
This diagram is for an 08 but if you have the one wire multiplex locking system it still applies, N.B. That question about finding 12V+ was puerile, TEST.

This one's for non priority unlock, note the wire colours on a Comp are different.
