Hello
RS worked for 7 months. Right now it won't start or crank with remote. Shutdown diagnosic flashed 4. If i start the car and leave it run, then remote start it, then remote the key, the car engine will still be running.
Is this a bypass issue?? Thanks

Definitely sounds like the bypass needs to be reprogrammed. Find out what bypass it is, or take it back to where it was installed. They can likely have you fixed up in under 20-30 minutes depending on how buried in the dash it is.

The car probably has a read once style transponder system. Once running a pitstop does not reset the pcm thus it will continue to run until the ignition is shut off and restarted. It likely reads the transponder code only after or during start up.

To master and control electricity is perfection. *evil laugh*

easy way to tell would be to put the key in the ignition without turning it and try to remote start the car. if it starts then it is definitely a bypass issue. if it doesnt start then you might be dealing with a bad connection or something wrong with the remote starter.
the alarm doesnt send any power through the starter during a pitstop so there could be a problem with the starter wire connections that would still allow the car to stay running for a pitstop.
