After a couple of weeks of messing with this, this thing had me ready to tear my hair out!
I'm using an ADS AL-CA and a Solace S1 starter. I used hardwired mode, and have programmed the idatalink as such.
Remote start and door locks will function properly shortly after the car is shutdown, but if it sits for a few hours or overnight, it refuses to start. I have had it do this intermittently, and you can hear the solace click the relay for the starter, but the starter does not activate. It then flashes the parking lights indicating that remote start has failed.
It almost acts as if there is an issue with the bcm going into a standby mode, or it acts as if it cannot see the clutch status and the car will not allow the starter to crank.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think there's a tech tip on it, look it up in the Downloads/Manuals section.

Forgive my stupidity today: on the idatalink or solace website?

Should i be looking ash the Ford GEM wake-up procedure? Is the remote start not disabling the factory alarm, therefore not allowing the starter to crank?

Yes but you have to research it, it's all in the archives.
