So my wife's new 5904 remote got ran over :(
So I figured this would be a good time for a smartstart for my car (5902). I would give her my remote and I would purchase a smartstart (maybe). So what are your guys input on the unit it, is it worth it? How hard is the hook up? I have a 2005 Acura tl running the 5902 with an expresskit bypass module.

Are you W2W or D2D with the Bypass module?

The smartstart will come with an adapter to plug it in to the ESP port then it's just constant 12v and ground.

Downside to smartstart is there is a delay between hitting a button on your phone and having the vehicle respond to the command. If you play on using factory keyless entry not a big deal but it can be a pain when you have to pull out your phone and wait a few seconds just to unlock the car.

It's the three pin black plug same as the bitwriter port...I think the 5902 has it..if not you will have to go w2w on your bypass and d2d for the smartstart module.
