I installed an ultrastart 1272 and with an xk09 in a 2005 Suburban about a month ago for a friend. I had issues with the RAP wire from the xk09 working so I hooked the rearm wire from the RS to the door pin wire at the drivers door module instead. Everything worked fine. Friend called today and said he has had intermittent issues with interior lights not turning off even while driving. Got out of his truck the other night and interior lights drained battery overnight. He says dome overide switch is on. Any thoughts?

Sounds like, Somewhere your RAP wire is shorting to ground or is constant ground.

If you were to forget to close one of the doors on that car, and just leave the door open all night, the dome light would time out in about 20 minutes, saving the battery from going dead.
Likewise, if you were to accidentally apply a steady ground to any of the door pin wires, the same thing would happen---the driver would experience the light being on during driving, and remaining on for a while after parking, but then it would eventually go out on its own.
The driver would also see a "door ajar" message in the cluster corresponding to the door wire that has the problem.
So, in your case, the problem must be something else.
Did you tie anything into the wire going to the dome light?
