Hey guys, I have gotten some great help before on here and I am in need once again.  I just installed my Viper 5906 and DBALL2 on my 09 Mazdaspeed 3, this is the fourth remote start install I have done and I thought it would go smooth due to the dball eliminating many connections using d2d and the mux wire for the door controls.  I hooked everything up per xpresskit's directions for my install type, double checked everything, and the stupid module still will not learn my second key.  It seems to learn the first one fine and the led starts flashing green, and then I quickly put in the second key and turn the ignition on, wait till the security light on the dash goes out and turn the ignition back off, but the module never starts flashing orange like it is supposed to.  I tried that process a dozen times, tried reflashing the module using xpress VIP from the website, but still no go.  Also, the module does not seem to be controlling the lock/unlock functions via the mux wire that the install diagram calls for.

Any ideas or similar experience guys?

Thanks!

Are all door closed when programming module?
Maybe try the second key first and then the one that seems to work.
Maybe second key is not a valid key?
When all else fails, Read the Instructions

Well the DBALL usually doesn't work until the keys are programmed. Is the key an authentic Mazda key?
No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)

The fact that it's seeing the first key is a good sign. I think it's 5 seconds between the on positions, not the time its turned off and back on. It sucks the time is so short. Maybe try a different transponder?

There is an older version of firmware with different install instructions, should I try that first? Also, the install manual for the dball does not call for the door trigger wire to be hooked up so is it sensing that the doors are closed from the door mux wire?

ok, so I flashed the older firmware for the dball, which required me to hook up an ignition wire, couple can wires from the obd port, and another lock output mux wire, and now I was able to successfully program the dball, and it controls the door lock correctly, but for some reason the remote start will not activate.  It goes through all the process like it is trying to, but after three tries it says LOW BATTERY as the reason it wont start, which isn't true because the battery is fine and the car starts instantly if you start it normally.  Any ideas guys?

Put the key in the ignition (don't turn it) and remote start it. If it starts, the transponder isn't sending the signal back to the car. If it doesn't, check the starter wire.
