I just installed an Avital 4003 w/DBALL2 on a 2013 Ford Edge. Its been awhile since I have installed a DEI remote starter. Im not sure what to hook up the WHITE/ blue (activation wire). Correct me if im wrong. Do I connect the WHITE/ blue wire to the lock wire? The wire that pulses when you press the lock button on the OEM remote? If so, what wire is it on the 2013 Ford Edge? I cant find it for the life of me.
Thanks for your help.

I dont really understand what you mean. Will I be able to start the car by pressing the lock button 3 times?
Can anyone else chime in?

You would need a XL202 or a smart start module to go with it to make it RSR (Remote Start Ready).
http://www.xpresskit.com/VehicleCompatibility.aspx?p=null&year=2013&make=Ford&model=Edge%20%28SA%20Key%29&ps=1&s=0&c=0
Look at the RSR Install guide tab on the DB-ALL part.

A dball programmed for rsr doesn't need any extra parts, just 3x lock button and it starts. No xl202 or smartstart is needed

Thats why I was a little confused. I was looking at the RSR diagram and it said it needs an extra part. Good to know that it doesnt!
My next question is will I need to hook up all the connections for it to work? The only thing that I didn't hook up is the door pin and lock and unlock activation inputs according to the Xpresskit diagram. Any idea if I need to?

I believe if you don't hook up those wires factory alarm will go off while trying to start.

Ok I reprogrammed the DBALL2 for RSR and connected the rest of the wires needed for it. It works now! Thanks for the help.

FYI you do not need to hook up door pin and lock and unlock wires
The lock and unlock wires are for if your are using smartstart or something like that so you can lock and unlock from the phone
Also the door pin wire is just so if you remote start and then shut it off from remote it simulates a door opening to turn the radio off, otherwise it stays on for 15 min or whatever
