remote start problems. when button is pushed for remote start it engages starter for just a second or so. not enough to crank the engine. changing the cranking time does not change the length of time the starter stays engaged. the remote shows it is running when it isnt. tach wire not hooked up.engine checking mode set to off. RED / black, red, and RED / white hooked to 12v constant on. pink to ignition at switch. pink/white to ignition 2 at switch. orange to accessory at switch. green to key side and violet to starter side of starter wire. pink/black to accessory at switch and programed. what am i missing?

Viper Pink/Black shouldn't be used.  It is used in conjunction with the Pink/White output, if isolation is required.

To power the trucks ACC2 circuit, use an external 30/40 Amp SPDT relay controlled by the Vipers (-) 200mA  Accessory output.

Why not run in Tach Mode?  Just one more wire to run and much better performance.

Transponder bypass module?  What color ignition keys do you have?

Soldering is fun!

black keys so no bypass module needed. the tach wire will be hooked up but was testing at this point. it started wired like this until i soldered the wires together and heat shrinked them. i will use a relay and the (-) 200ma accessory output. i just thought it could be done this way.

Those trucks have a bunch of ignition wires.  Some wire guides list them as 3 Ignitions and 2 Accessories.  Depends on the truck and its' features/options.  Test to be sure.  You will get an ABS light if you missed a wire.

How are you changing Viper programming options?  A BitWriter makes it easy and verifiable...

the remote start diagnostics says low battery voltage. i know this is not true because all 12v constant wires run directly to the battery and the battery has 13.4 volts in it although when the starter engauges the instrument panel goes dead until the starter power is killed any ideas would be helpful. thanks.
