Hello. I'm having an issue with the astrostart on my 06 equinox. It seems that it's not getting a signal from the remote. I tried the hood open, key on brake, cycle key off on 4 times and stop on off and that didn't work. Then tried the dip #8 up, brake, hit unlock on fob #8 done brake and that doesn't work either. The red led blinks with the engine on and when I touch the brake. This issue started right after I have a double din installed. Any help getting it working again?

Here is the astrostart module. There are 9 dip switches. The plugs on top are the antenna and ground switch. astrostart, 06 equinox -- posted image.
Here is the gm bypass. It has 10 dip switches

I checked the fuses and they are all good. Any help would be great. Its getting colder here every day and the remote start would be great. Thanks

When I push the 8 dip up and press the brake the red led lights up and it blinks when the engine is running so I believe it's functioning properly. Could it be a bad antenna? And way to test the atenna?

I would look at the remote being the issue. They are great systems but the remotes just die. they can work great for years then nothing even if the light is flashing. I assume you are holding the button on the remote and not just pressing it. Those systems you have to hold the buttons for about 2-3 seconds.

Maybe. But when I had the shop work on the radio, they couldn't get it to work, it stopped working. It worked when I dropped the car off and when I picked it up it didn't work. I'm sure they disconnected the battery without flipping the switch for the astroflex unit and it lost its programming. But not it won't program the remote. Thinking it's the antenna but it looks fine. I'll take my voltmeter and ohm the wires and see if there might be a break or something somewhere. For the astroflex gm passlock III. There are 10 dip switches. What order are they supposed to be in?

Wiring to the antenna is good? Did the installer work around or have to touch any part of the remote start system?
Connection to the brake pedal is good? Your evaluation of the LED during brake pedal application is conclusive?
With that check the battery in the remote. Batteries do die unexpectedly in remotes, especially if someone were to sit on the remote or otherwise cause the remote to transmit continuously. It's even possible they killed the remote by dropping it in the sink or toilet accidently. Does the remote look cleaner than before you left it?
Is this your only remote to the system?

The installer shouldn't have touched anything for the remote start. But I did have to redo it because they did a horrible job.
When the dip 8 is up the red led flashes when I press in on the brake pedal. The antenna wires look good. The remote seems fine. The green led flashes and there is an audible tone when I press the button. I have another remote but the place that installed the radio said it worked on a different frec. The system was already installed in the car when I bought it. And nothing on the remote works. Door locks, panic or remote start
