95 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Clifford Arrow 2 Alarm
I’ve installed a Clifford arrow 2 alarm in to my 95 ZJ and I can’t get the starter interrupt relay to work. My big question is the second wire (red #1) coming off of 85 on the relay. where does that run to? I’ve run it to 12v power and the alarm stops working and I even tried using the second wire off of 86 with the same results. I know I can get a new alarm but I can’t afford one right now and this is what I have. P.S. the factory alarm is dying fast.
Thank You

Actually bad diagram should wire as follows, is there a diode across 85 and 86?
If not green to 85 1 wire from ignition to 86
Key side starter to 87a and starter side to 30
If there's a diode observe where the band is, ignition should always go to the band side.

Looking at that diagram again the red wire goes to ignition.
Green is the alarm's Ground While armed (GWA) and goes to ground when the alarm is armed, then if any one tries to hot wire, circuit is made, and opens connection between 87a and 30 thus disabling your starter circuit.
Test:-
Green goes to ground.
Terminal 86 shows 12V+ on ignition and crank.
Ignition on, ground 86, you should hear the relay click.

Thank you for the reply's. I think the reason I couldn't make it work is the alarm isn't pushing enough current to trigger a relay. I'll pick up a new one soon when I can find it at a good price.
Thank You
