This just started a few months ago and the alarm/remote start has been installed for over a year without any problems. It's installed in a 2010 Ford F150. It will start and shut off 3 times in a row and doesn't do it all the time, about 90% of the time. From a little research I did it might be a tach signal problem but not sure where to start to diagnose the problem.

What does that mean? There is no wire to the tach. But it worked for over a year the way it was.

Needs to be connected and programmed for tach, might help.
Did you install it?

I did not install it. I thought virtual tach would be fine and I am almost positive the tach wire isn't hooked up. I'm confused why it worked for so long and all of a sudden it stopped.

Tach always works better but if you can't do what I suggested surely you're better off going to the original installer rather than posting here because normally the next question would involve diagnostic testing of various components, such as the bypass.

I know how to diagnose electrical components and I already was suspecting the dball2. I'm a mechanic just not familiar with alarms. If the first step in diagnosing is hooking up a tach wire then I can do that. I was only looking for a place to start diagnosing.

OK, poor tach signal if it's derived from the DB-ALL, also is this correctly by-passing a factory immobiliser if fitted?
If you go to Xpresskit.com enter vehicle make model and year it will direct you to the DB-All 2 and then you can download the correct wiring diagram and take it from there.

Make sure that you read that install guide at the it gives diagnostics for the DB-ALL via it's LED's.
