It's been over 10 years since I've installed my own alarm. I'm about to tackle installing the Viper 5204v into a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. I'll be using the DEI 556u for the transponder bypass. Can someone look over this to verify I'm using all the correct wires? Am I missing any connections?

Should the Accessory wire from the Heavy Gauge Remote Start harness be connected?
If so , I have it as "Blue/yel + dash fuse box)

Some issues with the thick ignition wires.  I prefer to go to the ignition switch harness but that is your choice.

HEAVY GAUGE REMOTE START
o     H3/1 Pink (+) Ignition 1 Out & Ign 1 input
Ignition     green     +     dash fuse box, rear, brown 9 pin plug, pin 8
o     H3/2 RED / Wh (+) Ignition 2
white (common 40A)   +    ignition switch, white 8 pin plug, pin 4
o     H3/3 Orange (+) Accessory
yellow  +  ignition switch, white 8 pin plug, pin 2
o     H3/4 Violet (+) Starter Out
Starter     BLACK/ white     +     relay holder behind dash fuse box, white 44 pin plug, pin 2
o     H3/5 Green (+) Starter In
Starter     BLACK/ white     +     relay holder behind dash fuse box, white 44 pin plug, pin 2
o     H3/6 Red (+) Ignition 1 In
white (common 40A)   +    ignition switch, white 8 pin plug, pin 4
o     H3/7 Pink/Wh (+) Ignition 2 Out
Second Ignition     blue     +     dash fuse box, rear, brown 9 pin plug, pin 3
o     H3/8 Pink/Blk (+) Flex Relay In N/A
o     H3/9 RED / Blk (+) Accessory In
white (common 40A)   +    ignition switch, white 8 pin plug, pin 4
o     H3/10 N/C

Here is a link to the wiring info from ReadyRemote ( aka DEI )  :  http://www.readyremote.com/main.asp?make=Subaru&model=Impreza

I'm confused all of those needs to be connected? I know the starter wire is cut. So there's:
Ign 1
Ign 2
Accessory
Starter (key side)
Starter (car side)
What's Ig 1 in, ignition 2 out, flex relay, acc in??

You will find that DEI writes all their manuals in a slightly encrypted +12V techno fashion.  This makes it difficult for non-trade people

to understand and use their products.

Basically, the remote start portion of your Viper system must be able to effectively duplicate all the vehicle ignition functions done

via a normal key start-up.  Your system is generic and supports a wide variety of vehicles.  Your Subaru is somewhat common in its'
needs, 2 Ignition wires, one Starter wire and one Accessory wire.  While the Viper has a basic +12V input wire on the 6 Pin plug, it
does not share that power with the heavy wires on the 10 Pin harness.  Due to current requirements, these outputs need their own
12 volt supply.  In reality, there are four 30 amp relays inside the Viper for this purpose.  They are IGN1, Starter, Accessory and Flex.
For your car we will use the Flex relay as IGN2, which is its' default setting.  The input power for the Pink IGN1 output comes from
the Red wire.  In relay terms, the red wire is Pin 87 and the Pink wire is Pin 30.  The same can be said for RED / White wire ( Pin 87 )
supplying power to the Flex relay and it's Pink/White ( Pin 30 ) output.  The Flex relay also has a Pin 87a which is used in special
situations.  The RED / Black +12V input is for both the Starter and Accessory relays and their Orange and Violet output wires ( Pin 30
on the respective relays ).  It can do this because the Starter and Accessory outputs are never both ON at the same time.

There is a Relays link button at the top of the page which has a very good breakdown on basic relay operation.

Soldering is fun!

Tell us exactly what you connected on H2, you appear to be missing three essential colours, BLACK/ white, PURPLE / white and brown.

Thanks kreg! Makes sense. I just assumed that they would share the same 12v.

I don't think anything is needed from the H2 harness

Anyone know where the Tach wire is? Someone listed:
Tachometer     green     ac     Keyless Access Module right of BIU, white 18 pin plug, pin 17
But this is for the model with the PTS system. Ready Remote lists the tach wire as:
white, BLACK / YELLOW, BLACK/ red, or BLACK/ blue      ac      passenger rear of engine, black 54 pin plug, pin 54, 53, 52, or 51
There has to be an easier route. From quick searches, it seems like I should be able to tap into the "green" wire from gauge cluster?
