November is around the corner so I'm trying to install it ASAP. I've done the audio on all my cars so I'm familiar on how to identify, splice, test etc. I'm just not 100% on the immobilizer unit, the requirement of a spare key (Best Buy told me I didn't need it for my car.)
I have a 2003 Acura TL with an Avital 4103LX unit and a "Universal Immobilizer Bypass Unit" It's in quotes because I can't post links to amazon on this site.
Basically I'm looking for a guide, or some help. Or maybe I should purchase a different product. BB also said that the Immobilizer Unit wouldn't work with my car and to check out idatalink's product.
I've searched for the installation of remote start into my car and can't find anyone else that's done it, aside from autotoys who requires you to purchase from them to view the uncut video. If you can find one or direct me in a good direction, I'd appreciate it.
Want to get this installed ASAP!
Thanks! 2003 Acura TL remote start -- posted image.

My suggestion is to find a professional installation shop near you to do the install...the fact that you want to do this on your own is admirable but the time it would take to explain the install of the RS and bypass would be daunting at best. Car audio and remote starts are polar opposites as far as installs go and the likelihood of damaging your vehicle is high without the proper knowledge. Just trying to save you time and money...I do a lot of DIY remote start repairs at my shop and I usually charge more to repair what they have done then if I did the original install. Food for thought.
Solder, tape, repeat!

Nope, not happening hahaha, thanks though. I'm an electrician and I do it all myself. I'm way more capable of understanding wiring schematics than your average DIYer. So, I'm still looking for a guide!
It would cost $350-$600 to get it installed at a shop. I purchased my kit for less than $70. That being said, Do you know of a guide or accurate video?

If you want to give it a go here are some links...

Here is a link to the Bulldog Security site for wiring info :

http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehiclewiringdiagrams.aspx

Here is a link to the Ready Remote site for their wiring info :

http://www.readyremote.com/main.asp?make=Acura&model=TL

Here is a link to the Fortin Honda SL3 bypass module :

http://fortin.ca/download/27521/honda-sl3.revzc.pdf
It is a good module and will not require leaving a key in the car like the Directed 556UW would.

The XPressKit PKALL is another good choice for the bypass module that might be more available.  Here is a link to that install guide :

http://www.xpresskit.com/DocumentDownload.aspx?documentid=6361&productid=196&firmwareid=1636

Here is a link to the Avital 4103's full install guide :  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=738

The Avital is a fairly basic system that should integrate well into the TL.  There aren't too many wires to connect and if you take your

time, locate & verify, properly bench prep and make quality solder connections you should be fine.

There are a few got-cha's with the Avital 4103LX so through planning and posting your proposed wiring would be a good decision.

Soldering is fun!
