New battery new problems

hi new to the forum could use some advice So I got a viper alarm for my 03 silverado got it hooked up and working for almost a year but here's my problem the cold killed my battery a Napa legend blue so I replaced it with a Napa legend agm but now when I remote start it grinds the starter but doesn't do it by key is this because of the higher cca if so how to fix viper model 5706v thanks!

Was a tach wire run on install ? If so try relearning the Tach signal

No has virtual tach I see you can change the cranking duration but I didn't want to change it without asking questions first it worked before all I did was change the battery is there any possibility that it switched back to factory settings? I had to change it from manual mode to automatic transmission mode originally

The settings should be saved in the Rom. Have you checked the voltage of the truck make sure it's where it should be ?

Yeah I just went out and checked it and tryed it again works now must have just been relearning something I just didn't want to have to replace the starter better safe than sorry thanks chevy104275 for your help and the quick reply
