hey guys I have a viper 4204 and I installed it in my 2004 f150.i was having troubles getting it to work. so I went through and reprogramed it and now I have found that it wont come out of manual transmission mode. has anyone had this kind of issue before? iam at my wits end with this thing.

Did you use the bitwriter ? This happened to me once and using the programming button with the remote to access the menu didnt work, i used the bitwriter and it solved the issue .

no this is my first install and on my own vehicle so i dont have the bitwriter. thank you for your advice i will be taking the module to a local installer and seeing if they will program it.

Do you have door trigger connected? To make sure you can program, ground the green door trigger connector during programming.
I must admit the programming instructions are confusing the first few times.
The other fact is that programming might have been locked, then you WILL need a Bitwriter.

Yes I had the door trigger connected talked to my local installer today and he said they have run into this a few times and have the bitwriter. He will program it for me on Tuesday so I'll let you know how it goes
