BCM trouble

does unplugging a connecter at the BCM with the battery connected cause damage?

Not lasting and usually only when the ignition is on.

installed a omega ol-rs-ch7 in a 2013 ram1500 and now it wont start with key or remote start-service air bag system light is on also-when i connect my scanner it wont connect to trucks ecm to get codes.simple install- plug in to ignition switch connect high and low can wires at OBDII connect RAP shutdown wire to purple wire at BCM conect p-light wire at light switch i don't know what went wrong...tried disconnecting battery already.

Check every fuse in the vehicle with a digital volt meter. Unplugging the BCM with the ignition ON is never good. It is possible you have blown a fuse in the process as circuits will try and pull power through other circuits when this happens. It is also possible you have damaged the BCM.sparky

I might try disconnecting the CanBuss wires. Maybe something is corrupting the data and that's why it won't start or communicate with the scanner.

found a blown fuse-truck starts but give me a code for ambient temperature sensor.gauge is reading -40 degrees and both front door locks and power windows dont work from master switch(rear windows work from master switch)..fuse for driver door module is good.temp sensor is in driver door mirror so this sounds like the BCM isnt getting any signals from the drivers door module.
