Flashlogic FLRSFO1 on 2013 F150 with auto light

Installing FO1 on 2013 F150 with auto light, the wiring diagram directs me to the parking light switch harness. On this harness is a factory tag with a warning NOT to splice into those circuits and to refer to the Ford Genuine Accessory Remote Start Instruction. Is this a known thing and I'm instructed to disregard the warning? I'm just wanting to be careful here and get confirmation. Thank you.

I've never used this product, so I'm just reading off of the install guide. That being said..... The Flashlogic wiring diagram tells you to use a couple relays right? It looks like it will disable the auto lights by opening the auto wire, while providing you with a +12v for your parking lights. I would assume that warning tag is to try to stop people from melting their headlight switch by just hooking up their (-) parking light wire directly. That can happen if you don't open the parking light switch ground wire first. I don't know if there is something special on a 2013 Ford headlight switch, but assuming that its the common little dial that's on every Ford, breaking the inside of the switch is common. Hopefully someone else can chime in too.

Yeah, I found out that Ford techs were putting their (-) right on it like you described when putting in OEM remote start. That's exactly the reason for the warning. The two relays protect against that, hence negating the warning. It's as I suspected but the warning was strong enough to convince me to stop and investigate. Thank you for your response, and hopefully this will be found by the next guy searching here with the same issue.
