Hello all. I have utilized the awesome forums and pictorals to install my viper 4706v remote start into my 2000 Silverado. I am having an issue I believe with the immobilizer. The truck will start than shuts off immediately. I have done the following troubleshooting;
1. Reprogrammed the viper to voltage sense instead of virtual tach.
2. left key in the ignition and tried to remote start
Neither have solved the problem. I do have to reset the Passlock 2 every time i try to remote start which leads to beleive that it is my immobilizer.
I have the 556u wired as such;
Key switch
YEL wire - BLK/WHT antenna wire (key side), BLK antenna wire (transceiver)
ORG/BLK - BLK/RD antenna wire
RED / WHT - not used
Please let me know if i am correct with my wiring and if i am in the right direction with my troubleshooting.
Thanks!!

Your 2000 Silverado has the Passlock2 immobilizer system.  It does not have a transponder based system and there is
no chip in the key.  The 556UW bypass module is for transponder chip based systems and will not work for your
truck.  I would recommend the Fortin Passlock-SL2-V2 or ADS iDatalink ADS TBSL PL modules.  Both come
pre-loaded from the factory but you will have to go W2W like you are with the 556UW.  The ADS TBSL PL is slightly
easier to use, install and program.
Soldering is fun!
