Does anyone have any experience or a tech sheet with this defrost wire? Not sure if its latched or pulsed. I wasnt able to find any information on the web about it. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Orange at the defroster switch is ground to activate, also is pin 20 at SECU. Pulse that wire with key on, see if defrost indicator illuminates. SECU activates defrost relay, pin 36..GREEN/ black?

Thank you! i will check that out later today. Is it necessary to use a relay to interface with the defroster? Im assuming its low enough current to be able to wire one of the aux outputs or defroster output directly to the defrost switch

Probably able to directly connect to the trigger wire (orange). Would be best to test of course. The output lead that activates the relay would need to be tested...the vehicle could have mirror defrosters which operate off of another relay triggered by the same GREEN/ black.

Hello, i recently installed a python 513 in a 98 nissan pathfinder, and all works well except my defroster dilemma. I wanted to be able to control the defroster on and off with the remote and also have it start when the remote start comes on under 50 degrees(WHITE/ blue 2nd status out/latched defroster). My problem is that 1) the defroster doesnt automatically come on under 50 degrees, and 2) the defroster only turns on from the remote when the key is in the ignition(ON) position. Does any one have any idea why this is happening?
