I'm currently in the process of installing an Avital 3100L security system to my Isuzu box truck. My main concern is to have a magnetic sensor on the rear roll up door. Is there a way to have this wired so the alarm activates if the wire to the sensor is cut?
The installers in my area tell me they can conceal the wire but I thought I would see if there was a better way to install this.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Piece of cake. Going to take me a minute to find it.
Use the positive trigger wire of the alarm. You will need a normally open switch. This means that when it is by the magnet it will be closed. Ground the other leg of the switch.    At the alarm brain you want to connect a 1k ohm resistor from Constant 12 volts to the positive trigger wire of the alarm.
When magnet is near switch voltage on positive trigger wire will be 0 When magnet is moved away or if wire is cut voltage goes to 12v and alarm will be triggered.
