Hi,
I just installed a Directed Electronics (Viper) 4105V remote start and keyless entry. I followed the install instructions and I also had the wiring diagram for my specific vehicle. Everything works perfect as far as starting and shutting off, lock and unlocks, and trunk release. The issue I am having is when I remote start the vehicle the air conditioner or heater does not turn on. I replaced an existing remote starter that went bad and it all worked before it went bad. Has anyone else had this issue? What do I need to do? Thanks in advance.

Check the presence of 12V on these wires when running under remote start:
ACCESSORY/HEATER BLOWER 1     ORANGE (+) NOTE #3     @ IGNITION SWITCH, (BLACK, 6-PIN PLUG), PIN 3
ACCESSORY/HEATER BLOWER 2     YELLOW (+)     @ IGNITION SWITCH, (BLACK, 6-PIN PLUG), PIN 4
NOTE #3: this wire may need to be RELAY ISOLATED to prevent STARTER GRIND upon Key Take Over.
On the 2010-2011 The orange wire Acc 1 wire needs to be opened using a relay using the GWR wire during remote start to avoid starter grind on key take over. Was this hooked up on the old remote start, and did you miss connecting up this relay when you replaced the old unit?   Could be that the relay is there, just open, not allowing the ACC1 wire to be powered....

Can you list your wiring so we can get a better picture of what's going on.
Also check out the pictorial I made and compare your wiring to it.
Sounds like you missed a wire.

There was a relay that was wired into the previous remote start. I kept it in and wired the remote start accy 2 wire to that. I will double check power there tomorrow. All the wires are connected per the instructions. Thanks and I will let you know if I find anything there.

I'll post the wiring as well. I'll take a pic of the vehicle diagram as well as the installation diagrams.

Ok so I tested the wires and retraced all my connections. I have pulled the relay out and hooked it up direct with out the relay in line and everything works as it should. I am not confident in the way everything was hooked up before as they eliminated some wires as well as tied some together to one point versus putting them where they needed to be. Since I ripped everything out and started from scratch I am confident that the wires are where they need to be.
I will need to buy a new relay and put it back in due to the starter grind on key take over. Can someone send me a diagram on how to hook this relay up correctly or at least send me which wires go to what.
Thanks again for all your time and help.
