A DIYer here, installing a Compustar CS800-S on a 2001 Camry CE I4.
On Compustar CS800-S, connector CN1, there are 2 required 12V+ constants with identical descriptions as follows:
Pin 1 Red -       Constant 12V positive (+) power input. This wire must be connected. The proper
vehicle wire will test (+) 12V at all times - while the key is in the off position, the on position and
during crank.
Pin 3 Red/White - Constant 12V positive (+) power input. This wire must be connected. The proper
vehicle wire will test (+) 12V at all times - while the key is in the off position, the on position and
during crank.
On the 2001 Camry CE, there are two 12V+ constants ( WHITE (+) and WHITE/RED (+) )
How should these be tapped, like this?
Pin 1 Red (CN1) -> White (Ignition Harness, thicker gauge)
Pin 3 Red/White (CN1) -> Red/White (Ignition Harness, thinner gauge)
Both Toyota and Compustar are isolating these 12V+ constants for some reason, I wanted to do this correctly and also understand why they are isolated, and I'm really just guessing with the above mapping.
Any help appreciated.

Connect them both to heavy gauge wiring. I believe the ignition functions are split between the two (red might handle ignition and jumper-selectable wires, red/white might handle start/ACC wires, for example) so you need to make sure they’re connected to wires that can supply the necessary current for those functions.

Yes, I have two ignition wires in the harnesstoo, which I will keep isolated by using the jumper configurable wire. Thanks for the advice, I'll tap both 12V constants to the thick, it'd be nice if Compustar said what these wires output to.
I'm in a cold weather climate (MN) so I'm on the tach to handle accurate crank times, I just don't think a timed crank or alternator voltage detection is a good solution. Thinking of using an injector actuator wire off the ECM, I may post back if that is problematic.
Thanks again.
