All of a sudden, my remote start stopped working. Ignition would come on, but no cranking. Car would crank when i held a key close to the cylinder, but die 3seconds later. Did a little digging and according to Fortin's documentation, the viper isn't giving the evo-all a GWR signal. This happens either over data or hardwired to the status output on the viper. Is my viper unit toast? Programming the evo-all went smoothly, so that's all fine. Seems odd that it would just quit like this after working for over a year.

If in W2W mode, you could test the Viper (-)Status to see if it is working. As a possible work-around, you could try using the Vipers Second Status output wire. Just ensure it isn't programmed to Defrost.
Soldering is fun!
