I drive a 95 Ford ranger and just installed a Python 3305p 2 way alarm
If I have the ignition in the OFF position, when I arm my system, it reports back to me that a door is open, also my domelight won't shut off. The door ajar light is not on, and if I open a door, it will illuminate and the chime will sound like normal. Opening a door while my system is armed will not set off the alarm, which essentially defeats the purpose of the alarm entirely.
Now if I have my key in the ON position, opening and closing any door will cause the domelight to turn on and shut off as it should. And if I arm my vehicle while the key is in the on position, it reports back that it was armed successfully without issues. And if I open a door while it's armed and key is on, it will trigger the alarm like it should.
This is also making it so I'm unable to program my security system to change features since it requires a process of opening a door and turning key on and off.
I've already checked, double checked, and triple checked all my wiring and it is all 100% correct.
I've read other forums that say to spray wd40 in the door jam, and I've even cleaned out the connectors but it doesn't seem like that's the issue since it works normally when my key is on. And it's always been like this, even before I had installed an aftermarket alarm system.

Might need to diode isolate the door triggers.

Are you connected to positive or negative door triggers and what color wires are you connected to in the truck? Are you using dome light supervision output of alarm and what wire is it connected to in the truck?
