First post here so hopefully I am in the right place.
I recently installed an Encore E-3 alarm system in a '98 Honda Civic. One of the features I added to the car was the trunk release. I did so by utilizing a universal door lock actuator attached to the key linkage, pretty slick set-up I found on another Honda forum. However, I seem to be running into either a programming issue or a defect with the alarm system. Whenever I use the trunk release button, the door locks will also cycle (lock if unlocked, unlock if locked). Has anyone put this alarm in and run into this? Since the actuator is an add-on, it should have no tie-in to the door lock other than the alarm unit.
Thanks in advance for any help/insight.
