Installed a 4816v Viper 2-way remote start on my classic mini cooper. It works just as it should, but it won't do the manual trans sequence. It works as an automatic. I have a e-brake wire, door trigger, and foot brake all wired. I think maybe a programming issue, but the app won't let me do anything. Pulling my hair out. Thanks.

Did you learn the tach? You can't use virtual tach with Manual mode. Menu 3, Option 2, Item 4

I did do the tach learn. I'm not sure how to do the programming since I have the 1 button remote and when I try to get it into programming mode, it doesn't seem to respond the way the instructions say (press and hold control center to select the menu).

When you turn the key on all the way without starting it and then turn it back off and then press and hold the antenna button, does the horn honk once or light flash once?

Try watching this video to help visualize the steps. Once you're in Menu 3, You will press twice (not 3 times like in the video) and then hold on the 3rd press. Try using your one button to cycle through the options. Should be 3 FOB presses to enable tach monitoring. Should hear 4 honks or see 4 light flashes.

When I turn the ignition on, then off, then press and hold the control center button, it doesn't do anything for a while. Then it flashes the park lights 9 times and does nothing else.

Verify that the solid Pink (not Pink/white) from the Viper is connected to the Mini's IGNITION 1 GREEN (+) wire. (not PURPLE/BLACK)
