Friend picked up the Viper 5305V and wants me to help him put it in. It's been a while since I've done any audio or alarm installs,so I have a question.
This alarm is capable of Remote Start, which he doesn't want at this time. In the future, that may change. By looking at the diagrams,it has a main plug for the Remote start. I plan on just leaving that Harness disconnected until needed. This won't mess anything up will it? I don't see any other functions that rely on that harness being connected. Thanks

You will want to at least connect the ignition1 (pink) lead on the remote start harness. This is not only an output, but an input also and most importantly will trigger an alarm in case of an unauthorized cycle of the ignition (alarm is armed). It is also required if you need to do any programming without a bitwriter or XKLoader3 and necessary for ignition controlled door locks as well.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Ok,started the install and got most of it connected, even the Pink wire(thanks geepherder). I am the point of connecting the parking lights to the white wire on the brain. The wiring says theres a positive wire and a Negative wire. The alarm can do either. Does it matter as long as I have the jumper set correctly on the brain?
Then I see some that mention to use the wires in the fuse box.

I am in the process of installing the 5305v and I have all the wires hooked up that I believe I need to. I have everything connected in the 5 pin harness,12v constant, ground, etc. I also have the pink wire in the remote start harness connected to ign 1. Not using remote start.
I've checked power and ground, but the brain doesn't seem to be getting power. When I hit the control button,I don't get any led confirmation. Are there a wire I'm missing that I need to hook up also? Thanks

Bad fuse. It looked OK, but wasn't.

Does anybody know what wire I would connect the 2nd unlock output to so I can unlock the drivers door on first press and all the other doors with the second press? Right now,one press unlocks them all.
Would I just disconnect the wire to the unlock wire now and use the 2nd unlock output on that wire?
