Hello, I recently installed a remote start system with keyless entry and push button start on a Chevy Cruze. The bypass module I am using is the idatalink ALCA. Everything works fine with the remote start but when I turn on the car and then back off without the intention to start it, it briefly tries to start before then turning off. In other words, let’s say I’m sitting in the car waiting and I just want to use the radio or roll down a window, I first put it into “acc” then in order to turn it back off I cycle through to “on” and one more press of the button turns everything off like it’s supposed to. The only thing is that before it cuts power I can hear the starter attempting to start. This system is only supposed to start the engine if the brake pedal is pressed while pushing the button in the “on” mode.

This is for a 2011 Chevy Cruze that came with standard ignition and no keyless entry or push to start. This system adds those things as well as the remote start itself. Topic closed. See: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=146793
