I have a Compustar 2-way remote starter with the alarm add-on installed at Best Buy almost a year ago. Recently when I lock the vehicle(2019 Toyota Highlander keyed start) it will chirp 3 times and my LCD remote will flash doors open. The door switches will lock. The vehicle dashboard shows all doors are closed.
The remote starter still works as normal. If I lock the vehicle from inside using the remote and open a door the alarm won’t go off. It will go off if I close the door(triggered by the shock sensor?). I have reset the system as directed by Compustar tech support but still the same thing. Reset as in reprogramming all remotes again.
What could be the problem? Something come loose or go bad? Fuse? I haven’t dug in under the dash and check the brain and wires yet.
TIA!

I think I have resolved this. Today I went to get a new hood tilt switch to replace the old one and happened to talk to one of the installers at Best Buy and he recommended that I reset the system by unplugging the wires from the brain. I have a DC3. So dug up the brain from under the dash and unplugged the harnesses. Let it sit for an hour and plug everything back up. Now it's working as it should. Hopefully this helps someone out there. I Googled this and was only able to find one thread on Reddit that mentioned the same symptoms I was experiencing but the user never mentioned the outcome. I hope this can help someone.
