Hello all,
I've been searching for a couple days and haven't been able to find any solution for this. The only thing I've found is I might need a relay or resistance somewhere.
I have a Compustar 4900s with the Expresskit GMDLBP Bypass Module. It's on a 2007 Saab 9-7x.
Any time I use the remote start, the security light stays on until I turn the car off. It doesn't trigger the alarm or anything but it is annoying.
When I insert the key after turning on the remote start the security light will stay on. Once I have hit the brake or turned the key off to kill the engine, I can restart it just fine and the security light stays off like normal.
It might take me a while to dig up the wiring connections I used. I wrote them down when I first did the install, but i can post them if need be.
Any ideas?

Did you power the Brown (+) ACC2 wire and the Keysense (-) wire?
Those wires are required for a R/S install.
Accessory2     Brown (required) (+)..........@ ignition switch, black 12 pin plug, pin 12
Keysense     Light Green (required) (-)....@ ignition switch, black 12 pin plug, pin 4
Soldering is fun!

I'm positive I wired the Keysense wire, but I'm not sure on the Accessory2 wire. Seeing as they're both required I might have connected them to the wrong wires.
Which wires do those connect to on the Remote Start module?
Thanks!

The CM900 module can directly handle the vehicles Starter, IGN1, IGN2 and ACC1 wires. You will need a relay for ACC2. Unfortunately with the CM900 you need to re-assign a couple POC's to supply the low current (-) Accessory output for the ACC2 relay control and also another (-) Status Output signal for the (-) Keysense wire. The Black wire (-) Status Output is already being used by the bypass module ( although with some 1N4001 diodes you could have done both with this one wire ).
ACC2 relay
Pins 86 and 87 to +12V constant through fuse
Relay Pin 85 to CM900 (-) Accessory Output ( re-assigned POC )
Relay Pin 30 to Saab Brown ACC2
Soldering is fun!

No wonder my car isn't right. You would think the CM900 manual would note something about that.
Any relays you recommend?
When I get home this evening I will get my install notes and list all the connections I made just to make sure they are correct.
Thanks again!

Standard Bosch style 30/40 Amp SPDT relays with a 5 wire harness are the most commonly available. Amazon has a two pack for $7. Some auto parts stores might have them, too.
The CM900 install guide is pretty vehicle generic. It can support all types of vehicles and their specific needs. It's the POC re-assignment procedure that usually causes install issues. I use the OP-500 programmer to do this but I believe it is also possible with the ADS USB cable and the WebLink application.

So I will have to reprogram the CM900?
That's a little more than I was anticipating time and budget wise, so I might have to wait on it.
Is there any way to avoid the POC re-assignment?

its not the remote start its the car. with RS being universal it doesn't know what kinda car its going into, plus its in the GM era saabs. I've done one saab in my 30+ yrs career and told my self ill never do another, and I haven't since late 90s
directech say this
Accessory 1 can be connected with brown accessory 2 just use 2 diodes to isolate
Ignition 3 can be connected with white Ignition 2 just use 2 didoes to isolate
ignition 1 is pink standard hook up
starter is yellow standard hook up
key sensor is lt. green (-) standard hook up from status output from remote start
wires colors are the factory colors not the RS

It's not a traditional Saab, just a Trailblazer/Envoy/Rainier with a Saab logo. I'm sure you've done a bunch of those. I've never used diodes so I'm not sure how those get wired.

you should try putting a RS in a a older one with the universal key in a box bypass module, stuff of nightmares lol. Saabs and Volos hate me. doesn't matter what I'm doing to them they fight me from begin to end
