I'm going to install a Remote Start in a Subaru Baja 2005. And possibly after that, maybe a 2012 Kia Sportage (with Push Button Start). I have installed a couple of remote starts in the past but it has been a long time ago. Old fart now. Those were Compustars. What I want to know is, which ones would I get the most Technical info from, like on here at the12volt and other Forums? I'm sure things have changed a lot since then. A little background: I've been in Electronics for over 45 years. My last stint was in Industrial Maintenance for 11 years. Working on anything from Toilets to Robots.....lol. I'm just getting old and slower.
Now I know the old Subby is just a basic remote start and doesn't require anything else. But the Kia is going have to have a Bypass of some sort. If I even do it. So which companies to you guys recommend to use, where can I get the most help from? Whereas I know remote start companies are getting to the point where they want you to be a dealer. Or it seems like. Thanks for your help!

only company that forces you to be a dealer is Voxx/Directed. Idatalink, Fortin or Compustar you just have to buy the programmer.
