my problem is that the alarm doesnt seem to get enough power. I have a dei 300 and its connected to a backup battery. I have 12 volts at the battery - however, my alarm is only getting 6 volts while everything else is at 12. I can't seem to disable the alrm with the remote. Is there any other way. I can't start my car

Check the power wire connection to the back up battery. Make sure that it is clean of all corrosion and tight. Also make sure if you used any butt splices that they are properly crimped. You might want to find the relay that disables your dtarter wire and tie those wires back together untill you can remedy this problem. Good luck with it!

How long has the backup battery been installed in the vehicle? The battery may have gone bad or the isolation circuit may have gone bad. For the time being I would bypass the BUB and put power directly to the alarm. Also when you checked voltage you had a good ground right? You should also check the alarm's ground.
