Hola, i done some searching on the subject of the security light being on. Found one with the problem i'm having now,   got a 98 Olds Bravada, and when i goto remote start the security light stays on constantly. Put the key on turn it to run and hit the brake, still stays on. If i start it without the key, it doesn't come on. Now i double checked all of my connenctions and i have yet to find the problem, i'm using the 555L to bypass the PK2. I'd like to find out what's causing this before i get pist off and rip out the all of the dash wiring.

Does car remote start? Sounds like your having an issue with the bypass, also did you hook up third ignition?

If the security light is on but the car starts fine with remote starter, make sure that the 555L is getting a proper ground as well as the remote starter unit. Most of the time when the security light in on, the resistance from the bypass module is not correct ( not close enough, but close enough to start the vehicle ). The only other thing to try is to re-program the 555L to the vehicle or try a different bypass module.
