I have a 1999 Acura 3.2 TL and am installing a RS on it. I got the wiring diagram but am having problems finding the factory disarm wire. It says the wire is a blue/silver at the divers door module. I had the door apart but could not find that wire(how do I test for factory disarm). I can not find the tach wire.

disarm wire should test ground when you unlock by key in the door, door must be shut and the wire blue with silver dots. The tach wire should be the same color and is located above the master cylinder for the brakes in what looks to be a single or double wire plug

another trick to test definitively if you've got the right disarm wire...take a computer safe test light and ground the clip.  now purposely set off the factory alarm (lock the doors, manually open them). while the car is going nuts, simply touch the probe to the wire you think should do it...if you've got it, the alarm will stop.

there is usually enough bleed on test lights to provide the disarm (-) signal you need...if its not, the probe will just show polarity (if any)...so no harm done.  have seen installers using jumper wires to force hard-ground on disarm wires and smoke things....yikes.
