Installed APS996A, 1997 Trans Am-Problem

Hey,

I installed everything for my 97 firebird trans am following this awesome guide: http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/alarm96up.htm

I used my own relays for the door lock/unlock part. I hooked them up like the diagram on this page, http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/alarm96up3.htm (The 3pin door lock plug)

... With the diagram it has the middle wire on the plug as the +12 volts, i just connected the constant 12volts wire i ran from the fuse box. Now i think about it, i might not even need to use the extra relays i wired up... do you guys think i do or not, in the manual it says this about the door lock/unlock plug:

3 Pin Door Lock/Unlock Harness: (White Connector)

The Red and Green wires will provide either a pulsed ground output to the factory door lock control relay, ora pulsed + 12 volt output to the factory door lock control relay. In either case, the maximum current drawthrough these outputs must not exceed 300 mA. The Red w/Black trace wire will provide a pulsed groundonly, and will only provide an output when the unlock button of the transmitter is pressed a second timeafter a first unlock command was issued. This is used for second step unlock or all doors unlock in a twostep circuit. In this arrangement, Red is used to control the drivers door unlock relay, and the RED / Blackwill be used to control unlock of all other doors. (I only used the red and green wires, not the RED / black)

Everything else is installed, except for the hood pin switch and i didnt bother to do anything that had to do with the remote starter because the car has a 6-speed manual tranny.

When i plug in everything the siren starts to chirp and doesnt stop. i have tried to turn on the ignition then press the valey switch 3 times then turn it off ive tried holding the valey switch down. Im stumped. The thing is, it only starts chirping when the door lock/unlock plug is connected. Oh yea and because it is a firebird, it has RAP (retained accessory power) which is explained on http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/alarm96up3.htm this page, I added the 2 diodes the same way Brent Franker has done so on his guide in order to bypass the RAP.

Anothing thing to keep in mind, my passanger side auto door lock/unlock (from factory keyless entry transmitter, or the drivers side or passanger side switch inside the car) is not working, i have to do it manually everytime i need to lock or unlock it. The drivers side is fine and works from the transmitter and both switches. I am pretty sure the problem is the door actuator so i am giong to replace that... Could this be interfearing with the alarm installation?

it just chirps and wont stop!

oh it actually stops chirping when i open the drivers door... i think this is because the diode is wired up to that and the unlock button...

It still wont let me program it though
